🚧 Traffic Changes Ahead: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard 🚧

Beginning Thursday, June 13, 2024, KC Streetcar Constructors will be working on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Brookside Boulevard which will require a temporary closure of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard east of Brookside Boulevard . This work is anticipated to take 4-5 weeks to complete, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Traffic control and detour signage will direct traffic around the work zone. The traveling public can use 51st Street, Oak Street, and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard to detour. Businesses will remain open during construction and local traffic only will be allowed between Oak Street and the closure at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Crews will close Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for track construction. This work is anticipated to last from Thursday, June 13 through mid-July, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
