Westport Train Control Signals
KC Streetcar Constructors will be relocating train signals for the Westport Crossover. This work involves installing new and relocating existing electrical conduit underneath the sidewalks near the intersection of Main Street and Westport Road.

Beginning Thursday, June 13, 2024, KC Streetcar Constructors will be working on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Brookside Boulevard which will require a temporary closure of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard east of Brookside Boulevard . This work is anticipated to take 4-5 weeks to complete, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

KC Streetcar Constructors will move rail into the work zone on the west side of the intersection of Main Street and 39th Street on Monday, May 13. Crews will work in the early morning hours to minimize impacts to the travelling public.
Caution: Hot Wires Incoming!
The installation of the arms and wires on the Overhead Catenary System poles on the Main Street Extension are underway! These wires power the KC Streetcar, getting electricity from the five new traction power substations (TPSS) located along the extension.

Beginning, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, KC Streetcar Constructors will be working on Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard at Brookside Boulevard which will require a temporary closure of East Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard. This work is anticipated to take four weeks to complete, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
KC Streetcar Constructors to Work Overnight on 31st Street.
Starting Wednesday, April 3, crews will work overnight on a portion of 31st Street to perform underground electrical work.
31st Street will remain open during this work with reduced lanes for eastbound and westbound traffic.
