KC Streetcar Constructors to Move Rail for Track Construction

Crews will work in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 13 to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

Crews move rail from the rail storage area at Grand Boulevard in the early morning hours of Monday, May 15.

(Kansas City, MO) - KC Streetcar Constructors will pull at least 500 feet of rail from the rail staging area at 27th Street and Grand Boulevard. The rail will be pulled into the existing traffic control on the east side of Main Street near 31st Street.

WHO: KC Streetcar Constructors in conjunction with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.

WHEN: For the safety of all and to limit disruptions to the traveling public on Main Street, this work is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, and will be complete by 7 a.m.

WHERE: KC Streetcar Constructors will be pulling rail from Grand Boulevard south on Main Street into the traffic control set up on the east side of Main Street near 31st Street.

Cross-traffic at the Main Street intersections of 27th Street, Warwick Trafficway, 31st Street and East 31st Terrace will be temporarily halted until the rail, equipment and personnel have cleared the intersection. Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department will assisting with traffic control during this process to facilitate a safe and efficient operation.
