KC Streetcar Constructors to Move Rail for Track Construction

Crews will work in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 23, to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

KC Streetcar Constructors pull rail on Main Street from Grand Boulevard into the work zone near West 31st Street in the early morning hours on Friday, November 18.

Kansas City, MO - KC Streetcar Constructors will pull 800 feet of rail from the rail staging area at 27th Street and Grand Boulevard. The rail will be pulled into the existing traffic control on the east side of Main Street near 32nd Street.

WHO: KC Streetcar Constructors in conjunction with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.

WHEN: For the safety of all and to limit disruptions to the traveling public on Main Street, this work is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, and will be complete by 7 a.m.

WHERE: KC Streetcar Constructors will be pulling rail from Grand Boulevard south on Main Street into the traffic control set upon the east side of Main Street near East 32nd Street.

Cross-traffic at the Main Street intersections of 27th Street, Warwick Trafficway, 31st Street, East 31st Terrace, West 31st Terrace, and East 32nd Street will be temporarily halted until the rail, equipment and personnel have cleared the intersection. Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department will assist with traffic control during this process to facilitate a safe and efficient operation.
