New Construction Activity: Median Removal near Country Club Plaza!

Starting Monday, April 25, KC Streetcar Constructors will begin removing the medians from 46th Street to 49th Street. Crews will start work at 49th Street and move north toward 46th Street. Work will not be performed on the bridge over Brush Creek.

More progress is being made on Main Street! Starting Monday, April 25, KC Streetcar Constructors will begin removing the medians from 46th Street to 49th Street. Crews will start work at 49th Street and move north toward 46th Street. Work will not be performed on the bridge over Brush Creek.

Northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction. Left-hand turns will be allowed at all intersections. No driveways will be closed or impacted during this work.

This work is being performed to make way for the future Plaza Transit Center as part of the KC Streetcar Main Street Extension. Traffic control will go up Monday, April 25 and crews will begin work on Tuesday, April 26. Construction is anticipated to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
