KC Streetcar Constructors will move rail in the early morning hours of Monday, March 11 for track construction.

The first full week of March is Women in Construction Week, a week to appreciate of the women who have made strides in the construction industry, an industry where women account for just 10.9% of the workforce. Crews will work in the early morning hours of Friday, February 23, to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

On Tuesday, February 19, KCSC crews will begin installing the Pershing Crossover at the Main Street and Pershing Road intersection. This work will happen in multiple phases to allow traffic to flow at the intersection, starting in mid-February and lasting through Summer 2024, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Crews will work in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 13, to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

KC Streetcar Constructors will close a portion of 49th Street between Brookside Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Thursday, February 15.

This is a permanent closure of the east 49th Street slip lane to accommodate the streetcar only lane from Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard to 51st Street.

Crews will work in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 3, to minimize impacts to the traveling public.

KC Streetcar Constructors will move rail in the early morning of Tuesday, December 5 to minimize disruptions to the traveling public.

It’s that time of the year again! We are officially in cold weather season. Within the construction industry, 40 degrees or lower is considered “cold weather.” Pouring concrete is one of the most susceptible types of work impacted by cold weather, but why is that? 

KC Streetcar Constructors are preparing to flip traffic on the Brush Creek Bridge to begin working on the east side of Brookside Boulevard between Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

We’re more than halfway there! Fifteen new stops are being constructed for the KC Streetcar Main Street Extension. To date, 9 of the 15 station stop platforms have been completed.
